Private Vaganova Ballet Coaching
Classical Coaching brings world-class methodology directly to the individual dancer—with the time and attention to identify what is holding them back, recognize what is waiting to emerge, and build a clear path forward.
It’s Inexplicable
You knew the first time you set foot in the theatre. Something in the music. The movement. The impossible beauty of doing something extraordinarily difficult, extraordinarily well.
You return to the studio. Again and again. You know what it asks of you, and you give it willingly.
But then come those moments when passion alone is not enough. Progress slows. Corrections stall. Hours multiply, and confidence begins to fade.
Yet no crowded class, however exceptional, has the time to fully address the dreams and struggles of each dancer standing at the barre.
Because You Know You Are Capable of More
Great artists are not formed by accident.
They are formed through time-honored methods.
Patient refinement.
Uncompromising standards.
Thousands of repetitions when no one is watching -
And a mentor who sees your potential long before it becomes visible to anyone else.
Private coaching is not about taking more classes.
It is about receiving the kind of attention that can dramatically change the trajectory of a dancer's development.
Because potential is only the beginning.
A Clear Path to Excellence
Generations of great teachers have studied, refined, and passed forward the methods that develop exceptional dancers.
The standard is uncompromising. The path is proven. The application is personal.
Classical coaching brings that accumulated knowledge directly to the individual dancer—identifying technical barriers, restoring efficient movement, and developing the strength, discipline, confidence, and artistry required to move forward.
The Methods js-hero-timeline

The Vaganova Method of Classical Ballet
One of the world’s most renowned systems of classical training, the Vaganova Method develops the whole dancer through a carefully structured progression. Strength, coordination, technique, and expression are developed as one integrated system—cultivating the unmistakable command and classical presence that can capture attention from the first tendu.

Boris Kniaseff Floor Barre by Yasna Stevovich©
Developed in Paris, the Kniaseff Floor Barre by Yasna Stevovich© brings classical barre work to the floor, removing weight-bearing demands to work with extraordinary precision on alignment, deep strength, mobility, and maximum functional turnout. Its flowing sequences develop the freedom and control required for soaring extensions, expansive adagio, and beautiful classical line.
This targeted training delivers exceptional results for dancers managing injury, scoliosis, or hypermobility.
-

Individualized Training Plans
Personal assessment identifies the technical barriers, physical patterns, and untapped strengths unique to each artist, then targets the training accordingly—developing greater range, stronger technique, cleaner alignment, and more complete command of the body while transforming perceived challenges into unique artistic expression.
-

MBTI-Guided Mindset Coaching
MBTI-guided mindset coaching brings the same individual precision to how each dancer learns, processes correction, creates, and performs under pressure. By understanding your natural cognitive strengths, coaching can accelerate learning, strengthen performance confidence, and develop an authentic artistic voice—building an artist who can think, adapt, and make the work unmistakably their own.
-

A Circle of Support
No serious artist builds a career alone. A trusted network of guest teachers, mentors, and professional advisors extends the work beyond the studio—bringing additional expertise, perspective, and connections to meet each dancer’s needs.
Expect high standards. Expect honesty. Expect encouragement grounded in precision rather than comparison.
And the time, attention, and individual investment required to see how far your potential can take you.

“Cherri Coleman … invited him to take part in classes, with one caveat: He would have to enroll in ballet class, as well. And that is how musical theater legends are born, whether in Tennessee or anywhere else in the world, for that matter.”

Your Questions Answered
-
Classical Coaching is designed for serious dancers ages 10–22 who are ready for focused, individualized training. Dancers may be seeking strong technical foundations, rapid technical advancement, preparation for summer intensives, auditions or pre-professional study, solutions to persistent technical challenges, support in returning from injury, or the refinement needed to move into more advanced work.
-
No. What matters is a dancer’s willingness to work seriously, receive detailed correction, and engage fully in the training process.
-
Private and semi-private Classical Coaching is based on a rate of $100 per hour, with the total determined by the length and frequency of training. Year-round training plans are developed individually according to the dancer’s goals and training needs.
-
Not necessarily. Private coaching can complement a dancer’s existing training by providing individual attention that is difficult to achieve in a group class. When appropriate, coaching can work alongside the dancer’s teachers, physical therapists, and other members of their training team.
For dancers seeking the highest level of individualized development, year-round private and semi-private training offers a dedicated path toward excellence. Strictly limited to no more than six students at one time, this work provides the consistency, precision, and depth of attention required for exceptional technical and artistic development.
-
An initial assessment looks closely at alignment, turnout, strength, mobility, coordination, technical habits, and individual movement patterns, together with the dancer’s training history and goals. From there, recommendations are made for the type and frequency of coaching most likely to remove barriers, build on existing strengths, and move the dancer toward their goals.
-
Yes. Training can be adapted for dancers managing physical challenges, with careful attention to individual anatomy, alignment, strength, mobility, and efficient movement. Coaching can also support technically intelligent return-to-training and movement retraining. It does not replace medical care or physical therapy; when appropriate, training can complement the work of qualified healthcare professionals.
-
Yes. Master classes, Vaganova training, technique intensives, specialized workshops, teacher training, and customized classical programs are available for schools, studios, companies, and institutions.
